Don’t go to this guy he will come and tear what you need apart and then never show up again.
I searched for some time to find a competent mechanic to work on our older Swedish Volvo 280 outdrive. Mel Kent was the guy. Most mechanics won't work on older units. He removed the drive from the transom and diagnosed the neccessary parts and hooked me up with a couple of websites so i could compare prices and maybe save a little dinero. His sched. was a bit far out but he gave us a date and upon arr. he realized that pulling the engine from his place was impossible due to clearance constraints.
