Made me feel very comfortable with a very uncomfortable situation. He sat down and talked to me to get to know me and mine and wife concerns about the situation. Answered all of our questions and told us not to hesitate to call if we had more questions.
Dr Thorne is truly the best doctor you could find. A great surgeon, and one that follows your progress. If you need him, you know will be there.
On very short notice Dr Thorne preformed a Carotid Endarterectomy for a 97% blockage I had. He did a very professional surgery and saved my life. I cannot Thank him enough.
Amazing Surgeon! In 2005 Dr. Kent Thorne was called in on my case when I went to the St Marks Hospital Emergency with what turned out to be a lifesaving surgery for me. While doing a valve replacement he discovered an aneurysm of the ascending aorta. Saved my life and has been my Doctor and friend since.

I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Thorne for a sub-carotid stenosis. I mentioned that my 47 year old brother passed away suddenly from heart disease two weeks prior to my appointment. He looked at me and said that he wanted me to have a Stress EKG that afternoon. And that he thought that would "make me feel better". I had the test and it came back normal and I DO feel better. This physician is a cut above the rest, in the 99.9% for professionalism, expertise, and bedside manner.
Very personable. Explained procedure to my understanding. Answered questions to my satisfaction.
