A wasted opportunity. Has one of the best locations for a coffee shop in beckenham/ penge but unfortunately a lack of investment in the facilities, equipment, food and highly irregular opening hours means it’s an overall very poor experience. With a takeover and new investment has enormous potential to be a great local coffee shop. Such a shame!
I had a very disappointing experience here. I am a support worker and was with three clients who have learning disabilities. When we arrived, the staff member asked if we wanted cold drinks since the coffee machine was broken. I kindly declined as I was working and we were just stopping briefly on our way back from a trip. As the station had no toilets available, I politely asked if one of my clients could use their toilet. Opening hours are incorrect on Google. Very disappointing on a Monday morning.
The BEST Aperol spritz I've ever had outside Venice. Luke knows his stuff! Making it with pink soda rather than plain soda or sparkling water pushes it to another level. Brill. Recommended. And faultless service too. When you get off the train, stop for 10min and get a drink or a coffee. You won't regret it. And you won't want to leave.
