I have lived there for 16 years. About 14 months ago, someone in my bldg started running machinery up to 17 hrs a day, ( sounds like air compressor ). I complained repeatedly, and the management came over numerous times, but said they couldn't hear anything. Finally they sent out a letter stating they had received numerous complaints about noise and vibrations, and they were going to inspect all the units in my bldg, to try and find the source of the noise. Don't Rent Here! My friend lived here for about three years and referred me to rent a place following a divorce. At first I loved it, it was quiet, the appliances were updated and the garage is essential for winters here in Michigan. Since it's new properties, they did promise a swimming pool, a health center and much other amenities "within a year or so". I really wanted Kensington to be a nice living experience. After reading some of the reviews of the complex (because in one of their monthly newsletters they encouraged people to leave positive feedback of the apartment complex on an apartment review website, such as this one), I was nervous as to what my experience would be once we left. Great quality apartments and friendly staff.
We were great renters for nearly 2 years. We spent a great deal of time and effort prior to our move out to ensure the place was spotless when we left. Our safety deposit was recently returned with a notification of the outrageous damages, including "an extremely dirty dishwasher". We plan to contest these charges. I would not recommended renting from this group.
Great apartment complex to live in. Nice and quiet.
