I was born with WPW syndrome. It was a nuisance all my life but it became a serious problem after I turned 65. Doctor McBride explained everything to me in detail, performed the operation, and at 67, I now feel like I have a new heart. He is not cold, but very professional. He is very, very technical competent about a very complex subject, heart electrical engineering. He is not a conversationalist, but has a sublime sense of humor. Dr McBride should have his license to practice medicine revoked. I saw him for the second time today and he dismissed all my questions and got very angry. Called my regular dr an idiot and told me I was fat and lazy. Yelled at me and told me to get out of his practice. I have never been treated like that. I left there crying hysterically and had to sit in the garage for a good 45 minutes to calm enough to be able to drive. If your considering a visit with him go somewhere else.
I recently, urgently, required Dr. McBride's unique skill set. He sat down on my hospital bed and explained in full detail to me and my family my medical condition and his recommendation for treatment. It was a very stressful time for our family and he showed compassion and patience which allowed us to make informed decisions. Dr. McBride is the BEST EP cardiologist in the DFW area! I happen to work in cardiology and have seen his technical skills and he is the real deal.
Dr McBride is very condescending and dismissive. If you do research and are prepared with questions, he will tell you that you are incapable of understanding the materials (because you are not a doctor) and proceed to dismiss your questions as irrelevant. He is not willing to look at technology such as Kardia heart monitoring devices. He is very uncaring about patient concerns. Cardiologists may believe they are above normal standards (such as being respectful), but recommend you look elsewhere

I've been Dr. McBride's patient for many years. He did a cardiac procedure on me that greatly improved my quality of life. He is caring, patient, and an excellent listener. I recently went back for another evaluation and got an excellent cardiac report. I credit Dr. McBride for that. He won't do unnecessary surgery. He is genuinely only interested in the best outcome for his patients. I feel so fortunate to have him as my cardiologist.
