I had switched to this practice and Dr. Means after seeing another wrist specialist, and I'm very happy I did. From my very first appointment, I felt the level of thoroughness, detail, professionalism, and bedside manner was much more what I was looking for in a Dr. He took the time to fully evaluate my wrist, all of my symptoms, and listened to how they are negatively affecting my everyday activities. Dr. Kenneth Means has amazing reviews (221 reviews averaging 4.8), so I chose a long drive to visit him instead of a short drive to visit another orthopedist with ma with 4.5 stars. Despite having an appointment with Dr. Means, he didn't see me. Instead, his PA saw me. She was unrated, and perhaps the PA near me was just as good.
Dr. Means is truly amazing. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt cared for. He got me in so fast, and was incredibly kind and reassuring every step of the way. I have pretty bad medical anxiety, but the ladies at the front desk were absolute angels patient, sweet, and made me feel so at ease. & As for the surgery? I had zero post-op pain. From the first visit until being nearly at the end of our injury healing process, every facet of treatment, interactions, surgeries, follow up visits…have been outstanding with Dr. Means, his staff/team, and the medstar hospital at Union Memorial. We recommend Dr. Means as the VERY BEST to anyone experiencing an orthopedic injury/situation!
