Following a total knee replacement in September 2024 and June 2, 2025, I experienced excellent care. The physician's expertise and bedside manner were highly commendable. My recovery has been positive, resulting in a pain-free outcome, and the staff provided exceptional support. I recommend Dr. Kenneth Mathis and his team 100%
Dr Mathis is so kind and knowledgeable. He takes the time to talk to you and explain everything. I had a total knee and a revision before seeing him. I really had very little hope. He knew right away what I needed. He put a different kind of implant in. I was up and walking that night without a walker. I could immediately tell the difference. He also did a nice job on my scar. I’m so happy to have found him.
I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Mathis and the entire UT Physicians Orthopedics team. The level of professionalism and competence is unsurpassed. I literally went from being unable to walk, due to such extreme hip pain, to going up my stairs the same day of surgery. Dr. Mathis is an artist and a truly wonderful surgeon!
Dr. Mathis is amazing! I am SO grateful to have him on my care team. I was struggling with a complicated hip issue, in severe pain for years and was considered inoperable - that is, until I was referred to this wonderful doctor. At my first visit, Dr. Mathis calmed my fears of being inoperable by indicating he could help me. He was extremely familiar with my hip issues and explained what was likely happening in my case.
