Dr Schwartz is a nice guy but the surgery which he performed was a failure. I had surgery over 10 years ago but I still suffer the consequences from it. I realized in hindsight, I never needed the surgery and was better off before surgery. Dr Schwartz misdiagnosed me with an inguinal hernia which he treated as a hernia. He later stated it was a ball of fat. The surgery affected a nerve which may have caused permanent damage. Also, he performed hiatal hernia surgery. Rude. Terrible. Did not listen. Did not properly go over former labs. Only ordered a test, refused to help otherwise. Huge ego. Called to argue with me after I said I would be seeking a second opinion. Actually yelled at me.
The best surgeon ever and really nice person. He explains to you what kind of surgery you are having and why. I really recommend Dr.Schwartz.
Something went wrong after surgery: chronic pain. The doctor doesn't listen carefully: he lacks analytical skills or likes jumping to conclusions. He suggested two options; both radical and bad. I had to get a second opinion: time and special exercises. Feeling better thanks for the second opinion.
Dr. Schwartz saved my mother's life. He is a fantastic surgeon and an even better clinician. He has fabulous bedside manner and follows through with everything he says. His office staff deserves their own review - they also have so much to be proud of. Dr. Schwartz had the clinical judgement to take out my mother's appendix when it was not even discovered on CT scan at another hospital during a hernia workup. I found Dr. Schwartz by looking at profiles, seeking someone to handle my new complex medical condition He rapidly understood the risks and the lack of oversight and took everything in hand He worked out a plan, made referrals and rapidly gave me peace of mind Unfortunately, insurance coverage threw a link in his well thought out plan But he took that in stride and soon made alternate plans Not only that, he listens and has a very good bedside manner So rare to find all of those skills in one doctor OUTSTANDING!!!

Dr. Schwartz truly cares about his patients. He took great care of me, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others needing surgery.
Dr. Schwartz is not only a great surgeon extremely skilled and knowledgeable , he is an amazing human being that will do anything to end pain and suffering for his patients and help them have a better and healthier life. I am so grateful that he is my surgeon and definitely recommend Dr Schwartz.
