Dr Liu cares about patients and wants to help their pain and quality of life. He is kind, gentle, and calming despite all that can happen in neurosurgery. I was referred to Dr. Lui following an auto accident which after a C T Scan on my head showed 2 brain aneurysms. He was at UVA at this time. During my consultation with him to fix the aneurysm he saw the fear in my eyes and moved my surgery up. He was very comforting and made me feel more comfortable with the procedure. I live in TN and this was in 2015. I made one trip to PA when he relocated. I would follow up with him in MI but have not been able to make the trip. He is my hero, I know he saved my life. One of the worst doctors I have ever seen. He was arrogant. He saw me knowing he didn’t do surgery for my disease. Wasted my time when I could have been referred to another surgeon. Risking my sight. Only cares about getting insurance money. Lies in notes to make the patient look at fault so it doesn’t fall back on him. Don’t see him. Especially for Shunts he has a low success rate because he’s a terrible surgeon
Dr Liu operated on my wife's brain anureusim it was successfully capsulated. However his team failed to plug the femoral artery causing blood to leak into the leg. She had to have another operation by a vascular specialist. For three months she suffered agonizing pain. All that Doctor Lui coul say,that "he was sorry: This was at Bronson Kalamazoo.
