Dr Smirh is an incredible orthopedic surgeon. I was scared and he took the time to calm me down and said there would only be two small incisions on my ankle and it would actually speed up my ankle recovery. Seemed like only minutes and surgery completed and no infection or pain. Transitioned to a walking boot and then tie up boot in only one week. It did not inhibit my walking with a walker. Dr Smith was extremely nice. He was easy to talk to and provided a good explanation of my potential foot/toe issue and his rationale behind the diagnosis. He found what appears to be the cause of my toe discomfort when a couple of prior Podiatrists that I had consulted with could not determine the cause and one of which totally misdiagnosed causing additional problems.
