I have been going to Dr. Buch for 25 years and change. He is caring and efficient, and as busy as he is, he takes the time to explain things.
Dr. Buch diagnosed my rectal cancer years ago and did a subsequent colonoscopy when I had an anastomotic breakdown.He would have received 10/5 stars at that time as he was compassionate, took his time to think about his course of action for me, and was extremely knowledgeable and thoughtful. I was referred to Dr. Buch for a second opinion. My serious gastro issues have been difficult to resolve. Dr. Buch had various test reports which were ordered st the time of my previous visit. I had prepared questions for him. He did not have a report from a specialist that he sent me to see. He was brief and unprepared and/ or unwilling to give me the courtesy of answering my questions. I have already referred people to Dr. Buch! He is knowledgeable, caring and thorough. Also, he makes colonoscopies easy to get through. He is accessible for emergencies and once correctly diagnosed me for something completely out of his specialty after two doctors who should have known more could not. He is very trustworthy and I am more than satisfied with the care I receive from him.
Being a new patient I would expect the doctor to at least be familiar with my information and a necessary test which I asked about when I made the appt. to confirm symptoms. Neither occurred. A minimal check up that already confirmed what was part of the problem was positive for symptoms already described. There was no follow thru, no phone call & I never received an RX from the front office and was told to return in several months. I will not and felt a total lack of interest.

Had very complicated set of post auto accident GI problems & Dr. Buch was thorough, arranged to perform emergency endoscopy & colonoscopy within 24 hours. Great communication with my internist & surgeon. I was very lucky.
