Puppy Playtime My puppy has enjoyed Kennelwood's free puppy play time (first Wednesday of the month) and grooming service. First time he was absolutely exhaused after racing around their brand new play area and had received his first professional grooming. The member of staff who clerked him in wanted to see his puppy shot certificates from my vet and I was told over the phone Bortetella vaccine etc was required which my dog had already received. Great place for my pet GREAT! My concerns over how Murphy would react to the staff were eased greatly by the care each member listened to my interpretation of how he reacts to strangers. The staff assured me that they would be gentle, slow, and caring with him. He came home with an A+ on his report card. Page Kennelwood Groomers went above and beyond my expectations..
Great Customer Service Given! Before bringing my babies to Kennelwood that day, I decided to look at reviews. As I was reading some I was a little put off by the comments because of horrible customer service. I was talking to my husband about it on the way there (I know a little late, HA!) and he said dont worry it may not be as bad as you think so I agreed! We got there and WOW not at all what I read! DO NOT BOARD HERE Level of customer service is awful! I will not board my dogs here again. I called to check on them and they had no idea who my pets were and instead read care notes from a computer. I think they need to scale down and focus on the importance of pet boarding. Instead they are trying to see how many animals they can get under their roof at one time. This was our first and last time at Kennelwood.
My Dog Loves Kennelwood I've used Kennelwood multiple times to board my dog. I've provided all her food on some occassions and on others had them use their own food. I've also used the day camp and grooming services on many more occasions. My dog loves going to Kennelwood no matter which service she is going for. As soon as she sees the Quick Trip on Lindbergh before the turn off to Kratky, she starts yipping and wagging her tail a mile a minute. Horrible boarding! I used this place for boarding and it was horrible. I paid close to 100 dollars per day and they couldn't tell me for sure if they fed my dogs the first night that they were there. They also came home with unopened food that I had packed for them. Again the staff couldn't explain this. If they are confused/forgetting to feed my dogs then there is other stuff that they are forgetting. Their training might be good but boarding is the worst!
Awesome Dog Training! I have taken both of my dogs to Dave van Garderen at Kennelwood for training starting when they were four months old. I have found Dave to be both professional and caring for my dogs and my training desires for them. Both of my dogs are very large and I wanted them to be trained to be well behaved and to walk with me without pulling me. Not only did Dave train my dogs, and me, how to walk nicely together, he also trained my older dog to compete in Rally Obedience and to become a therapy dog. Therapy dog... read more
Luv kennelwood! we love kennelwood! Our dogs get so excited when they know we are pulling onto their driveway. They go all the time for day camp and they can't wait to go in and see all their friends! The staff are friendly and I know they love my dogs-it shows!
KennelCOUGH I took my 15 month old and 4 month old puppies to be boarded for the first time and they both came back with KENNEL COUGH. My puppies had all of the required shots and were perfectly healthy when I dropped them off and 4 days later they are both sick. Kennelwood did agree to return my boarding fees but could care less that the dogs were sick and questioned if they got sick at a dog park perhaps. NO....THEY GOT SICK B/C THEY WERE BOARDED AT KENNELWOOD.
