We have used the St Peters location for years to board our dogs but we have seen a slow decline in service & grooming in the past few years with this last visit being tragic. Grooming has always been a problem! We left our 2 dogs (Australian Sheperd & Border Collie) for a 2 week stay. We pay extra to have them in a Cabana so they have room to move about because they are large dogs & always take tennis balls because we consider that good exercise when the staff plays with them. I take my dog to Kennelwood in St. Peters all of the time and have never had one bad experiance. The staff is always so friendly and they seem to really love my dog. They are always very accomodating as far as when I pick him up and drop him off. My dog never seems to be upset going there, in fact he usally seems very happy and always greets them with a lick. One definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Our mistake was to think that Kennelwood Pet Resorts would improve. Unfortunately, we have boarded our cats a half a dozen times at Kennelwood in St. Peters at 418 Church Street only to be disappointed time and time again. The staff advises us to bring along a familar item(s) from home (ie. blanket, toy) and label all items for our cats with their names.
