We recently moved and we have been looking for restaurants that have homey, unique, and night out sort of vibes. Kennebec Cafe hits all of those notes. The food was good. The wine list is extensive. The service was thoughtful. The mountain views and fireplace made it comfy after a cold mountain hike.

My first visit to was a disaster. We made a reservation at one o'clock and we had to wait a half hour to be seated. After a long time a waitress came. While we sat at our table waiting for our food we saw everyone around being served. Our food did not appear until we complained several times. Over an hour and half wait we finally got our food. We love this little place, eat here several times during the summer, love the specials!! Service was great last night despite them having a class reunion In the other room. Thanks for a nice evening.
This was worst experience we have ever had! Had a reservation, was seated 30 minutes late. After ordering we waited over an hour while tables around us who arrived after us received their food before us. After inquiry several times and getting excuses we ask to talk to the manager. All she did was give the same excuses! Never in my life have I ever had raw potatoes on a salad. Needless to say, we will never go there again!

KENNEBEC is our absolute favorite place in Durango for dinner! The fish dishes are off the charts!
