Changed meds & dosages 3 times in 1 week - paid for prescriptions we ended up not using. Then he insisted that my anxious 13yo take a psychoactive drug that’s typically used for schizophrenia, saying it would make my child “less irritable.” When I said NO, he wrote in her medical notes that “parent not communicating with us” and “parent refuses treatment.” He also terminated my child as a patient.

I began seeing Dr. Phillips when I was in my late twenties/early thirties and I am still with him. I’m fifty now and feel that my treatment has been successful for many years. He has seen me through a great many difficulties in my life. He is extremely skilled at finding the most appropriate meds and dosages for my bipolar disorder and ADHD. He is also very personable and caring. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with mental health issues.

Dr. Phillips is smart, but watch out because he has an ego and if you challenge it, he turns into a dark and very mean person. For patients with mental health and those struggling with flashbacks and triggers his behavior is inappropriate as he often yells and demeans them. I do not recommend him to anyone with a mental health issue.

The thing i liked about Dr Phillips was that he listened to my concerns regarding my medications side effects. I had some prior bad experiences with meds and doctors and he really helped me get my life back on track.
