I scheduled my first new patient appointment with Dr. McDowell, last year, in 2024. I was very impressed with the attention he gave to me, and his bedside manner. The professionalism was superb. The majority of primary care physicians in the region have retired or were not exactly in my opinion very respectful or professional. This has made it difficult to find someone that you feel comfortable with.I would highly recommend Dr.Kenneth McDowell, to anyone in this community.
Dr. Kenneth McDowell accepted me as a new patient today. I was extremely impressed with the whole process and experience. First off, the office staff at the front receptionist desk were very friendly and informative. Secondly, I was taken back at the exact time of my 2:30 pm appointment, and the office was full. Thirdly, the nurse that weighed me and took my vitals was also very friendly and knowledgeable, and got me all signed in and filled out all the pertinent information the Doctor would need. Poor bedside manner, lack of respect, negative vocabulary, brash. Not a single good thing to say about this mans character, some people don't play well with others.
He may be a fine medical practitioner, but he is an awful person! My 76 year old mother expressed a complaint about his patient portal & he gave her an example of, "Well, if you had 2 different bank accounts would the bank portals work the same?". She answered, "I can't afford 2 different bank accounts." and his response was, "Well, then you can't afford me." Wholly inappropriate response. Unprofessional and ill mannered. It will be her last visit to this practice.
