My 86 year old mother went in for an oil change. They told her she needed $6000 in repairs to fix an oil leak, valves, lines, power steering fluid line, etc. They said "We will set you up with a loaner." She left her car there and texted me the news. I told her to put the work on hold. (Her vehicle has a blue book trade-in value of $6K to $7K.)
