yum – neat place, nothing but good things to say about the staff, service and food!! a KC must-try!
What a fun time! – Went to Kelso's for the first time today! My wife and I sat at the bar and had a great time. The food was great, the service was great! The bartender/server made us feel right at home. Despite the loss of the Chiefs, he was making everyone laugh, plus the beer is cheap! Thanks for the great service and food. We will be back often!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! – The food was horrible the waiter was rude. The so called owner was more worried about walking around chatting on his cell phone while the children from his table ran around like wild Indians!!!! than the fact we were seated at a table for 15min before someone came and asked us if we even wanted a drink. I will never go back and I will make sure EVERYONE knows how terrible was!!!
Awful Service – I was at Kelso's tonight and have been there many times but tonight the service was lousy. First off my husband and I sat there for about 10 minutes and no one came to take our order so my husband went up to the bar to get a pictcher of beer; while there the waitres came to the table and asked if we wanted anything; I told her we had been waiting and my husband finally went to the bar to ask for a pitcher, the waitress then said, "Did you want food too?" Expensive cardboard – We went to Kelso's yesterday afternoon, 08/09/09, for calzone. We used to frequent the Metro North Shopping Mall location, until it closed. My daughter ordered the small white pizza, $11 something and it did not fill her. The calzone, not on the menu, was vastly different from the ones bought at Metro North and much smaller. The pizza crust had NO FLAVOR. Everything was expensive, not once did anyone ask, "How is everything?" or "Can I get you anything?" I would have said something, had I been asked.
Kelso's Pizza........yesYesYES!!!!! – I have 2 words, "KITCHEN SINK" . This recommendations comes from 30+ years of experience. The best everything-on-it pizza in Kansas City. Ask Jeff, and the wait staff. I EAT THE WHOLE THING!!!!!!!!!
Best Pizza in KC – We recently moved to KC and were told that "Kelso's has great pizza". Our first attempt to verify the rep left us unconvinced. Our mistake was that we ordered "specialty pizzas" - (Thai Chicken & Chicken Spedini). However, we tried it again and WOW - their regular crust traditional pizzas are killer! YUM. Perfect in every way.
I love Kelso's! – Service and food is always excellent. Great atmosphere, great drinks! Great place to have dinner and drinks!
mediocre – Indiferent service, average food, bad parking, smokey inside. More of a bar than a restaurant. Food is just OK
