Dr Hiller clearly laid out a pre and post surgery path for a successful tkr and I did as he recommended - dropped 10 lbs and exercised through weights, walking and swimming. Fourteen months post op I feel great and my knee surgery has been a complete success! He completed a successful replacement and was very committed to the numerous follow ups. To make it a total success I had to uphold my end of the path to a healthy lifestyle. I would highly recommend Dr Hiller!.
Today, I traveled from out of town to see Dr. Rajasekaran for some long term hip issues I've been having. I am a young woman who occasionally needs mobility aids and so I'm always paranoid seeing doctors as I don't expect to be taken seriously, and I've had so many negative experiences with dismissive doctors who took no initiative. I am used to having to fight to get answers and help, and dealing with doctors who would pity me and not care. But I was put to rest VERY quickly with this appointment. Very arrogant surgeon. Totally botched by TKR! He had to do a post knee manipulation which left me with additional pain afterwards and really bad scar tissue! Two years post surgery and still having problems. He told me further physio would not help, after my insurance company said they would give me more physio time, but this biased and arrogant dr wouldn't write me a report stating that more physio would be helpful and that I just had to live with it and go to the gym for help!
