Reminders of the building's beginnings as a bank in 1907 are everywhere. Wherever we are camping at Kiptopeke we always stop in Cape Charles for dinner and libations at Kelly's Gingernut Pub. Fun lively atmosphere, attentive staff, awesome brews on tap and great food.

We waited over an hour for a table after being told it was a 20 minute wait. Then we were told they were clearing our table. We waited 10 more minutes and were told the wait staff and kitchen were backed up. People that came in after us got sat before us. We gave up and left. Front end staff needs to get their act together. Not a good experience.

As there are always nights that are busier than others, all staff members are trained to be as timely and efficient as possible under these conditions, and am sorry that you experienced otherwise. As well i am sorry that there was not proper communication between out front staff and guests, something i will discuss with all staff members. Please know that this is not a representation of our business and will give us another try in the future!
The she-crab soup is the best I have ever eaten, I order it every time. Generous portions of every meal, huge burgers, crab cakes and salads. Hope you're hungry!
