Kelly's Diner is a 1953 Jerry O'Mahoney, two piece dining car. It measures 55 feet long and is one of the largest diners ever manufactured in the 1950's. It spent the last 42 years on Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware and was brought by the Holmes family in 1996. It was transported to its Ball Square site on two specially equipped, low bed trailers, in two pieces and reassembled with a great deal of care, as you see it now. Kelly's Diner wins. Where else can you walk in after a long (crazy) night, and order a milkshake and feel like the waitresses know exactly what you did the night before? My hands down favorite joint for breakfast.
Best Breakfast! Kelly's has the best breakfast in the Boston area--the service is wonderful and very typically bostonian, the food comes quickly and is super fresh. Beware of the sunday wait!
Not too shabby I've only been to Kelly's once (when the line for Sound Bites and Ball Cafe were awy to long) and I was pretty happy with my choice. The only downfall is they only take cash so make sure you have some. Granted there is an ATM machine there, my bank charges me 3 bucks extra, so if you go with cash, you'll be all set. I just had your standard 2 eggs, home fries and bacon breakfast. The portions were big and the home fries were really good.
Recommendedwelcomed as soon as we walked in... seated immediately...service was great... waitress was a doll... food was out promptly and made to order. not one complaint
