I’ve been bringing my dog to this vet off and on for a few years, but as many recent reviews suggest, things have definitely changed. Before booking an appointment, I called around to several clinics to compare prices for the services we needed. When I contacted Sharon Lakes, I was placed on hold while the receptionist confirmed pricing. When she returned, I was told the total cost of the visit would be $98. I had to change my review. The 5 stars I left years ago no longer applies. The practice was bought by a corporation, and ALL the vets have left. We found out because we needed a visit last winter, and our vet told us it was her last week. We never received notification from Sharon Lakes, which is very disappointing It’s been months, and they still haven’t found a new vet. They are using rotating fill-in vets. We have loved this place for many years, but we are moving to a place with permanent vets who like working there .
I used this vet practice since 2014 but within the last 6 months or so ever veterinarian, vet tech, and front desk person has quit. At this point I don't believe there is a dedicated veterinarian who actually works at this location. With that being the case they should no longer be accepting orders for medications because they obviously can't fulfill them. All the former vets have left under new chain ownership. They misread their own diagnostics. Sharon Lakes told us Willow's tests were negative. Followed up with a different vet, using the Sharon Lakes results...tests clearly stated Willow had Pancreatitis (dangerous & chronic disease). Do not trust your beloved pets to these folks.
I have also been bringing both of my dogs to Sharon Lakes for over 30 years and I have NEVER had an experience like today!! The technician that saw my dog was a male and I specifically had said in my appointment that my dog needs to be seen by a woman. I love this technician because he has seen at least one of my dogs before! He asked if it was alright to get my dog's history and I said yes.
