Be prepared to spend lots of time waiting in the waiting room and in the exam room. She will then spend less than 5 minutes with you, declaring she had not bothered to read your history and "doesn't know who you are". She will order tests, then completely drop the ball. The delayed "follow-up" will be with her assistants, not her. They emulate her lack of personality and disdainful bedside manner. Do not bother with her, she is grossly unprofessional. This entire office is a disgrace.
Very excellent Doctor. I am still seeing Dr. Maxwell about my condition. She has communicated with me on my condition regularly. She is an excellent Doctor. Kirsten the PA also does an excellent job.
The procedures necessary to perform the kidney stone removal are intimate and embarrassing. Dr Maxwell was as professional and interested removing the 6 mm stone as she is trying to prevent my remaining 3 mm stone from enlarging. I am grateful for her help, concern and skills. Dr. Maxwell, whom I have now had between 10 to 15 face to face interactions, is thorough, patient and personable. I treated with her for more than a year. I would leave her NO stars if I could. First, she will stick 12 needles in your anus for a "prostate" cancer screen no matter what. So get used to that. Whether you need it or not. She was not helpful. She refused to prescribe a helpful therapy (CIC) which would provide relief and improve my life. She lied about the prostate cancer risk then told me she had to stick me with 12 needles or else "her practice wouldn't allow her to perform a procedure on me." Worst worst worst provider I have ever seen. Horrible bedside manners. As I waited in the waiting room a doctor came to the front staff and snapped in front of everyone waiting, I thought this can’t be my new doctor! Who talks to employees that way? Iwaited in her office for 45 minutes no one came in to let me know if she was running late. Finally saw her then they took me into a room waited again maybe 25 minutes to see her briefly for 10 minutes. Billed for a visit that I think wasn’t worth it
Very thorough. Due to somewhat chronic condition, she proceeded to have me undergo several medical investigative tests. She is dedicated and focused. Trust her.
I was saddened by Dr. Maxwell’s lack of professionalism. As she came in, she didn’t shake my hand & told me she was running 45 mins late to another appointment. She hadn’t looked at my record beforehand & didn’t ask any questions about my case. It became clear that she has little experience in my disorder, as she told me she was “unqualified” to pursue the course of treatment I’d decided on with my last specialist before I relocated. Very disappointing and frustrating.
Always a long wait in waiting room. Lots of tests.
Knows what she’s doing, doesn’t scare you, has a good attitude. I trust her completely.
