RecommendedOne of my happy places. Been coming here since I was a child and now at 47, Kellerhaus is a must stop in for the ice cream sundae bar and home made candies. Love sitting at the window, looking out at Lake Winnepesaukee. Heaven on Earth.
Beautiful shop. Very large selection of chocolates and candies most are made right in the store. Their ice cream shop is excellent and you can choose and put on your own toppings and as much as you want 😄
We have been bringing our grandchildren here for several yrs while on vacation. It is a novelty to top your own sundae. Kids love it.
I have always said that Kellerhaus is the BEST icecream in the lakes area. But, recently I have been disappointed. a few nites ago i went and there was NO sugar free AT ALL.... then when there is sugar free it almost ALWAYS HAS NUTS IN IT..Please keep the nuts out!!!!!! then I tried it one more time and there was no sugar free again. I asked to speak to the manager but he would NOT COME UPSTAIRS TO TALK TO ME. the girl who went to "fetch" him said he is busy downstairs and we have no sugar free today. It's been since I was kid since I was there, I remember it being a whole lot better than it was. How can you call it a smorgasbord with 4 sauces, and 5 toppings and no cherries! And to boot the Ice cream was not very flavorful. Not a good expierence at all. Maybe I will try it again in another 20 years..
Smaller portions than they used to have and ice cream wasn’t as creamy as it used to be,
The staff is very friendly. Chocolate was amazingly good! Ice cream was also very good, creamy. Breakfast waffles were delicious as well.
The ice cream bar is great and the view as well. Enjoy looking in the gift shop as well. Have been coming here for at least 50 years or more. My daughter and great grandson kidnapped me yesterday and we spent the day in the area. I used to live around here and miss my late hubby and best friend who was like a sister to me. Brought back many good memories.
