As a sergeant I believe the man is very competent as a doctor needs a lot of work. Did my wife's surgery. She's been in pain for 2 years. Not saying it's his fault. He was working on nerves of the spine but what he wanted to do his second surgery and she said she wanted to hold to see whether it was necessary. He told her company she could return to work even though she could barely walk, sit for more than an hour or stand for more than an hour. Worse neurosurgeon ever. My husband was admitted with a brain tumor and went blind waiting for Dr S. to do his job. No MRI was ordered just a morphine drip to keep him sedated. Dr S. just came in every morning and watched him go blind!!! After a couple days I moved him to Rush where they immediately did a MRI and had him in surgery in less than 12 hours. That was several years ago and my husband is alive and healthy today because I took the initiative to move him to another hospital. He turned 69 last week!

I’m so grateful and thankful for Dr. Schaible’s fast acting approach and surgical advice to do emergency surgery on March 10th. Most likely he saved my life especially since a different emergency room diagnosed me with kidney stones the week prior and I became bedbound. Thank you Dr Schaible for telling me bedside to keep the faith especially during those scary times in the hospital. I appreciate everything you did for me. Especially saving my life.
