I dropped my vehicle off at Hyundai Kearny Mesa Service Center because the headlights remained on even when the multifunction stalk was set to “off,” and the dashboard continued to show “auto.” Based on my Hyundai app's activity history, the vehicle sat untouched on their lot for eight days before anyone opened it on day nine, while I paid for a rental the entire time. I am extremely disappointed in this service department. My check engine light came on in my vehicle so I brought it in and was told that it would take them over a week to run the engine diagnostic. I didn’t have another choice so I left the car, heard back a week later saying that they were going to reach out to the warranty department and have not heard back from them since. Absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at a dealership/service. My check engine light came on at 4600 miles (2026 Palisade). Obviously I don’t want to put additional miles on it with a check engine light, so I made the fastest appointment I could. We show up the next day, only to be told they will have to hold our car for 3-5 business days and WON’T provide a loaner vehicle. We purchase my vehicle from this dealership and the sales people were great. The service department…not so great!
