I called Kay’s to diagnose why my 5-year-old AC was blowing warm air. Their technician connected his gauges, confirmed the system had no refrigerant, and pushed a $6,800 full system replacement—without performing a leak test or any further diagnostics. I paid $82 for a sales pitch, not a real diagnosis. A second company actually tested for leaks and found the real issue: a faulty Schrader valve—a $1 part. Buyer beware—this company prioritizes sales over service, sending salesmen disguised as technicians.
We had our Cooper Hunter ducted ceiling system and Cooper Hunter ceiling cassette units installed in June of 20204. We were living with window units for the AC and steam heating. These units are replacing it all. Kashawn Dixon was knowledgeable and gave me some good advice. Although our apartment is not easy, it is a labyrinth of 10 rooms.
