Kayenta Alternative Rural Hospital is a respectable & wonderful healthcare center. My personal experience had been great...PCP Lori Jones, nurses, traditional specialists, receptionists, lab, imaging, pharmacy, security, EMT & esp the entire ER Drs with their staff. Thank you.
Low staffing and slow service rate.
ER nurses can be judgemental and violated HIPAA rules about patients diagnosed and being interrupted about my reason being there. I went to Tuba City ER after being escorted out being embarrassed by the nurses as I wasn't feeling well & being judge by the nurses was unsafe. For now I have to go to Tuba City for the proper care and professional service without making me feel like I have no where to go. Kayenta IHS is a joke. The ER staff doesn't take their job seriously. You could hear the staff at the nurses station openly laugh and joke at a patient's expense. And you sit in the exam room over an hour or more, that's literally when they are not busy. The security is no different. I mean there's supposedly at least 6 to 7 on duty per shift and yet where are they at? Oh wait just hanging out in their office. No wonder they all say "easy money". Just tested positive for corvid.. I went to the emergency room.. I explained that I tested positive and I'm unvaccinated.. front desk girl, told me to just go home and wait until you're about to die.. then you can come in and be seen.. until then we can't do anything about it.. I tried to explain that I wanted to prevent that from happening..
