The Kay McFarland Japanese Garden and venue is one of the most beautiful event spaces in Topeka, KS. The event staff are helpful, polite and professional. They helped us from the setup and were there until we left. Jim is AMAZING! He answered every question and was always right there to help us if we needed anything. While the venue is stunning and spacious, the staff goes beyond the norm to be friendly and helpful. You definitely feel a team vibe. Parking is ample, level, and close to the venue. All aspects of the facility is clean and up to date. I would 10/10 recommend.

PLANNERS BEWARE!!!!!! I have called three times to plan a reception here, and can't get a call back!! I'll be damned that a place that's so greatly praised can't even call someone back when trying to plant their reception after their wedding! We even ordered cupcakes to match the venue!! My wedding at the Kay McFarland Garden and Venue was perfect. You’d think the biggest selling points would be the beautiful garden or the striking venue - but it’s not! The game changer is allowing your guests to explore the zoo between the ceremony and reception. It was an absolute hit. Erin and her team went above and beyond at every turn (definitely spring for the day of coordination services).
