We recently went in to get batteries for three watches. We were quoted $20 EACH, needless to say we walked out and had them replaced at $5 each at a reputable jeweler. If they charge that much for a watch battery, I can only imagine how much they overcharge for everything else in the store. Make the drive to another store that will not gouge you because they are the only jewelry store in the immediate vicinity.

Took my wedding ring set in for 6 month inspection, which had to have multiple repairs done the first year. Sales lady said we have 2 specials a necklace or ring. They are $40.00 each and that includes the repair warranty. I took the bait and bought one of the necklaces. She said I will put the receipt in with the warranty. When I got home I looked at the receipt it showed that the necklace was actually 19.99 and the warranty was actually 19.99 and it doesn't cover any of the stones. Thanks to the man who posted about the warranty sheets! They have not been giving us the warranty sheets anymore either, only stamping the date the check up was done. We used to get the sheets but haven't for about 3 years. Interesting to know that Kay's likes to deceive their customers. After another deceptive experience with them, I won't shop their again!!!

Not at all happy. Was told by one rep the amount that I would have to pay for my ring repair was $55 something. Then went back next day to pick it up and had to pay over $99.00. Diamond was covered under warranty and that was what the mounting cost without the extended warranty. I was completely dissatisfied with lack of consistency with staff. Will not shop at Kays again, although I have purchased other merchandise, which had also had to be repaired before a year of wear. Only gave one star because system would not accept "... read more

Absolutely terrible place to do business. I bought my wife's wedding band and engagement ring there, had the 6 month inspections done on a regular basis. One of the center diamonds chipped and now they won't replace it saying that the inspections weren't done in accordance with their lifetime warranty. The problem is that they never gave us the sheets saying the inspection had been done. My fiance purchased my engagement ring from here. He thought he was purchasing a white gold ring with diamonds and an emerald. Come to find out he bought a sterling silver ring with white sapphires and a "lab created" emerald. Needless to say we were both upset seeing as he paid over $1200 for that ring and a gaurd.
