Another example of why not to go to Dr Kay I took my dog to Dr. Michael Kay because he was losing weight. He did some blood work and called me and said he was a little anemic but not to worry. My dog continued to lose weight. I continued to call and take him in and Dr. Kay continued to reassure me my dog would be fine. I knew something was wrong. I searched for reviews on the internet and read the one on Dr. Michael Kay where they went through the same thing and eventually had to put their dog down. I immediately went to Dou... read more
Love I absolutely LOVE Kay Animal Hospital. The staff takes wonderful care of my son and are always friendly and willing to help in anyway.
Dr. Kay is my hero. Dr. James Kay saved the life of my terrier, following a dog attack. I will always respect him for the way he handled her case. She's given me much joy since and will for years to come. Our three Greyhounds are vetted there too. Dr. Michael Kay is on our Southeastern Greyhound Association list, as knowledgeable about Greyhounds. They have unique reactions to anesthesia and their specific blood test results make it imperative that a vet be learned in their breed. The staff is caring, gentle and listen to the... read more
Dirty, Smelly, Apathetic, and UNprofessional I took my dog in for concerns that his lower jaw was chattering, he was pawing his muzzle and he was no longer eating. I suggested that maybe he had something stuck in his tooth (he had in the past). A tech came in and tried to look into his mouth and when she couldn't do it alone, she said "Okaaaay..." and then left the room. Meanwhile, I could hear conversations behind the door about how they liked fried okra vs. boiled okra and reports on their weekends. I knocked on the door--... read more
30 years says a lot..... Dr. James Kay has been my vet since I was in grade school and now b/c it's a family business, his son is now treating my Shadow, that is the love of my life! They are one of the best vets around! Their staff is knowledgeable and compassionate. Their prices are fair and I trust them!! Rena' is one of my favorite vet assistants and Kim (Dr. James Kay's daughter and Dr. Michael Kay's sister) is wonderful to deal with.
The Best Vet Around We take our pets to Kay for checkups. They have done everything from getting rid of heart worms to having them spade. They are by far the best vet around.
I will never go to Dr. Kay again I took my dog there after she had puppies, and she was very sick. She was having foul drainage and had a fever of 104. He never checked her for any retained material. He gave her an antibiotic, and said that she had a minor infection. Later that night, she delivered a dead puppy. The previous had been delivered 3 days prior. She could have died. I will never use him again.
Fantastic I originally heard about Dr. Kay through word of mouth, and it was all positive. Took my puppy there and I loved it! The care was top notch and I felt he was getting the best treatment possible.
Don't take your animal to Dr. Kay I had been taking my dog to Dr. Jim Kay and Dr. Michael Kay for over 15 years. The last few months my baby boy was having thyroid problems which one of the vets that was there part time on a Friday afternoon did blood work and found that it was his thyroid so we started him on medicine. Then he got to loosing a lot of weight, he went from 31lbs to 20lbs and I called and talked with Michael Kay and told him my baby wasn't eating and he told me it was because it was because the weather was so ... read more
