Dr. Kumbum has a wonderful bedside manner which can be hard to find these days. I really appreciate the time she takes to call me directly to report results or any medications I have needed. It truly feels like a personal touch rather than a nurse calling me back. I highly recommend Dr. Kumbum for any screenings or gastrointestinal issues.
I will never use this doctor again. I had a colonoscopy. During my pre-procedure appointment I met with a nurse practitioner. She assured me that I would meet the doctor before my procedure. The prep that I was prescribed did not work well. I went in for my procedure expecting to meet the doctor but I was sedated before she came in. I had a polyp that was removed and i was instructed to return in 1 year due to "poor prep" Poor Prep!!? That's on you! I did what I was instructed! This is the worst doctor I have ever met in my life. I'm suing her for malpractice and petitioning the state to revoke her license. Update: my complaint is moving forward. I hope I can save people from her lack of care and clear racial bias.
Dr Kumbum performed a colonoscopy on me when I was admitted to the hospital for a partial bowel obstruction. I had to stop the prep as nothing was moving and wait until the obstruction resolved. After the colonoscopy, she stated I didn’t have an obstruction at the time of the scope, which …no kidding! I wouldn’t have been able to get the scope had the obstruction not cleared overnight.
