On Dec. 23rd I had an appointment to have 4 tires switched out and I asked could this be done without damaging my brand new wheels. I've been going to Kaufman Tires for over 25-years. I have bought dozens of set of tires for my personal and company vehicles. Today at the Kaufman/Mavis store in Buford GA, I had something pulled on me that I had never heard of, "dry rot". I had bought the tires from Kaufman. Went for new tires one tire lug nuts was on backwards and only hand tight and 2 where cross threaded !!!! Tire went flat after they installed the hubcap crooked and it rubbed a whole in valve stem creating a small leak I found all this out after driving on it a week !!!! Very dangerous !!! Also lost a days work due to this I am a contractor so it cost me $500 to loose a days work all this is documented with pics and my Kaufman receipt ! Better time management. I had four tires put on and it took over 5 hours. Sitting over 5 hours in the lobby was not my preferred way to spend an afternoon. Although, the prices were good, the service was very poor, therefore I can not recommend Kauffman Tire (Buford location) for car maintenance, especially tires.
Great service, had me in and out in no time.
One month ago I went there to have my steering fluid and brake fluid flushed... spent 3 hours and $250.00.... I was going out of town and wanted my car serviced for a safe trip... went in on Friday for an oil change and was told I needed the same work done... I told them to check their computer because I just had it done here!!!! After spending over $5,000 on two different trucks, I had issues with one of them. The rear brake line was never reattached and was burning against the muffler. The front differential breather tube was left dragging one the ground and will now have to be replaced. After a long conversation about my reservations about the Rancho shocks, I decided to have them installed after Justin said the,"new" Rancho shocks are better than the Bilstein shocks.
