Wow. Wow. Wow. I have decided to switch my loyalties to Katie Blue Salon, Richmond. I was having some major hair troubles soon after the last haircut & lackluster customer service elsewhere. Katie Blue is a wonderful, welcoming and charming place-awesome women. Katie M. did a spectacular job on my hair. Love, love, love what she did. She does magic with curly hair! Magic was what I needed ;-) Now my smile is back and my spirits are happy!!

Kate M. LOVED my haircut from Kate M. This is probably the first haircut that I can style the same way as the day it was cut (usually impossible to recreate salon hair) and the tips for washing/product application/drying for curls are genius. Will absolutely return -- highly recommended for gals with curls! Kate M. knows her stuff!

Found my new stylist! Went to Kate M. yesterday to fix my hair after getting a horrible cut at a different salon a couple days ago. This was my first time at Katie Blue. I decided to come here to get my hair fixed after reading the many favourable reviews they've received on various sites. I love the shabby chic decor and the girls at the front desk were so sweet (opposite of my experience at Edward Scissor Hands' salon). Kate did a fantastic job. Good Hair, Good Baked Goods Upon arriving at Katie Blue Salon I was quite pleased, the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing after a busy day serving a bunch of jerks at a restaurant nearby. I didn't wait long for Kate to tend to my beautiful locks. Its like she was in my head that day. She knew exactly what i wanted and i left that day looking more magnificent then whence i had came. Kate M. rules <3 I have had my hair cut, permed, colored, and styled by Kate M. on numerous occasions, and every time I am thoroughly pleased. I got the most beautiful ombre coloring from her. I loved it so much that it gave me the confidence to keep changing my hair, and to go to her every time I changed it! Disappointed I got my hair done here for a formal event and it was awful. The hair was falling down before I even made it to my car. Plus the appointment seemed to drag on which made me late for my event. I would certainly NOT recommend formal dos at this salon. I cannot speak to the haircuts/color as I did not return to try those. On a side note: the stylist I had reeked of alcohol during my appointment which was before 3 p.m. So inappropriate.
