BUYER BEWARE: To make a very long story very short; We hired Kathy Main with Remax to assist us in purchasing a home while living out of state. The sellers agent was Christopher Wray also with Remax. The realtors had listed the house at 2064 square feet. It was only 1619 square feet and the assessor’s office confirmed it. When speaking to the Remax broker, he admitted that it was the responsibility of the agents to measure the home to confirm the square footage (especially in our absence) which they didn’t do. BUYER BEWARE: We hired Kathy Main to assist us in purchasing a home while living out of state. We were intensely occupied with selling our own home and packing the moving van and moving across the country so we needed her eyes on it. After viewing the details of a home from their website we asked our daughter, who lives in Spokane, to physically view the house for us.
