Great Doctor! Dr Musgrove was the first pediatric opthamologist we saw when my oldest was diagnosed with amblyopia. She was WONDERFUL! We had to switch to another doctor a couple of years later due to an insurance change and had Melinda Rainey(also fantastic). She left Kelsey Seybold and I was not happy with her replacement. We were then able to return to Dr. Musgrove!!! She has a fantastic rapport with my kids, and I couldn't be happier with her abilities.
Surprise! Heads up everyone! The employees by the reception, who are in charge of checking if your insurance that you normally use covers your eye exam, will not check your insurance until you are currently being given an eye exam by the doctor. I speak from experience. Once I was done with the exam, I was informed that my insurance did not cover it and that I had to pay up front $1##. If this is their strategy for profit, I suggest they learn / study / review Ethics.
GREAT EYE DOCTOR!!! Being in Houston, I have many eye care providers to choose from but when it came to my decision on choosing an eye doctor I chose a group with the reputation for quality service. Great Eye Place!! Dr. Deanna Pena Garcia is a neat lady and the best eyedoc that I have seen in years. I have had the best experience at this location. She explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it throughout the entire exam for me and my daughter. I cannot think of one eye doc in the history of me wearing glasses (over 20 years) that has given me this much information. Great Experience When I needed new glasses and hadn't been to the eye doctor for a long time, I asked one of my co-workers to recommend someone - she recommended Dr. Pena - Garcia at Houston Eye Associates. The office was pretty easy to find and there was ample parking in the attached garage. I found Dr. Garcia to be very professional and patient with all my questions. Houston Eye Associates I just read a review of Houston Eye Associates Augusta office and strongly disagree. I am a patient of Dr. Garcia's and wanted to mention she has a beautiful office in the Augusta area. Dr. Garcia and her staff have always been helpful in getting my contacts ordered timely and go the extra mile when I am in for my visits. If you need an eye doctor in the Galleria area, go see Dr. Deanna Pena-Garcia, you will not be disapointed!
Great Eye Doc, But Horrible Service Nestled between some aging Augusta Drive townhomes in a decrepit 1980's office building, sits the Galleria-area location of Houston Eye Associates. Dr. Deanna Pena Garcia is a sheer pleasure to meet. She is very competent, honest and thorough in her work. It is unfortunate that she is part of this business.
Very Gifted with Children Dr. Musgrove has been seeing our son since he was approximately 15 mos. old. I had no idea how mush could be done to assess the eyes of a child that small. Watching the evaluation was quite fascinating. The office is clean and comfortable witha friendly staff. As with all doctor's offices, there is a wait, but it wasn't too bad. Gifted Surgeon I came to see Dr. Musgrove on the advice of a doctor at the University of Houston. I have MS and my right eye was turning in and I had really bad double vision. Dr. Musgrove did my surgery on September 21st, 2007 and it worked. I was so excited! I had no double vision!!
