Had annual body exam with Dr. Sawada and her team. They take time to follow-up on previous visits and ask if there are any new concerns. The appointment length did not feel rushed and I appreciate her expertise in working with all skin types.
Made appt for Mom’s skin/ body exam. Myself & hubby go to office for peels & micro abrasion. My mom had cystic acne in her youth and has scars. She was considering dermabrasion, again. After the skin check, Dr. Sawada’s assistant, Erin, leaned into my Mom’s personal space and whispered, “there’s no need for you to come back.” Does not wish to help those in need. We have spent thousands of dollars a year there for 3y. Not any longer.
I've been charged a $30 co-pay for a follow up visit which lasted less than a minute with the Dr. She simply stated "the test results were negative, see you in a year". I feel that information should have been handled with a phone call rather than an office visit. The insurance company should also feel robbed.
Dr. Sawada has been my derm for a number of years. She is pretty "to the point" and not real touchy feely, but I appreciate frankness. Ifyou are looking for a chatty experience, this is not your derm. I had a melanoma at the age of 30 and feel like she really knows her stuff. I am always in and out in a timely manner, have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for my appointment and the staff has always been friendly.
Awful awful awful experience. I ended up having to take the time to personally write her a letter about my experience with a check for what I agreed to pay and requested for a simple call or email about next steps to which she cashed the check and ignored the time I put into writing her about my HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do not go to accent dermatology!!!

Mr. Gunton, I am sorry you feel that your needs were not addressed. Dr. Sawada prides herself in making sure that the needs of her patients are met in the clinic. I am not sure how many Physicians you have dealt with, that have actually had the time to respond to letters and bad reviews. We do our best, and I apologize that you feel like you had a bad experience. We have learned from your example and have changed the policy regarding listening to patients questions more accurately. I am sure Dr. Sawada is an excellent option for your cosmetic surgery needs. However, if you are looking for a dermatologist willing to treat you as a whole person and spend the time listening to you as a patient - go elsewhere. I really wish I could say otherwise!
Dr. Sawata has been my dermatologist for more than 10 years. She is really cares and lisyend to me. She doesnt rush through an exam and is so knowledgabe about psoriasis. I moved to loveland several years ago and make the 1 and 1/2 hour drive to keep Dr. Sawata as my doctor. I would highly recommend her to anyone who wants and needs great care. JoAnne G.
Would NOT recommend this Dr. She does not manage her time at all! Been to the Golden office 3 times and have waited 45+ minutes each time. When I complained got cold and unfriendly response from staff. In my opinion,this is NOT a professional establishment who appreciates your business.
Office staff refused to answer simple question on the cost of one syringe of Juvederm. Consultation fee is $100 which goes to the cost of services which is fine. Most offices will tell you the cost of a procedure. I told her I realize that more than syringe may be required so the price would differ. I would have liked to have made an appointment with her but office her staff was abrupt and unapologetic and clear that they would rather loose a potential patient than provide that information.
