Amazing dermatologist here in Encinitas. She is so thorough and always so kind and understanding.
I had a scheduled appointment with Dr O’Brien for 11/26/2025. I scheduled it in July of 2025. She cancelled my appointment 11 days before the appointment due to a family emergency. When I tried to rescheduled the appointment I was told she was scheduling out to March or April of 2026. I feel that if the provider cancels an appointment they should reschedule as soon as possible. I was treated as if I was a new patient scheduling for the first time. Very disappointing and I will not use her again.
I've now been a patient of Kathleen's for a year, having had two visits for my annual skin cancer screening. I find her bedside manner comforting and comfortable, her medical assistants are kind and also have great bedside manner, and all the office staff just are generally great. It's easy to make appointments, I am seen promptly, and overall find the entire experience pleasant.
