I used Kathleen McNamara in a contested custody case. My ex was a mother of our two very young children, who had at the time no drug convictions or criminal record, but did have mental issues she was effective in hiding. Nightmare! Wish I could give NO STARS!
Did NOT evaluate in the best interest of the children AT ALL. Testified against mother and ignored major psychological issues concerning father. Sloppy, hurried mistakes. Didn't listen to children and/or didn't believe them. Lied. Said they were delayed though they are in GT programs. Went to court on behalf of abusive father; NOT to help the children. Did not properly evaluate a relocation request, father's anger/substance issues, all about $, DrM should be ashamed. No substance; damaging.
biased and unprofessional, definitely $$ driven
She would deny things she has said in the past. Her professionalism lacked and was even worse when you questioned her. Not thorough. She would make you feel defensive. If you raised an issue, she would say you have nothing to back it up. Once you had evidence, she would say you are out to get the other person. If you have concerns over her ethics, professionalism, or biases I would highly recommend making DORA aware of your concerns! Lots of reviews out there.
Not only did Dr. McNamara lie on the stand during my divorce, she falsified the custody evaluation. She gave testimony with regards to things she had no knowledge of, basically just made things up as she went along. she lied on behalf of my exhusband in court, she promoted giving the children to an abusive father with a criminal background of domestic violence and mental health issues, Because of Dr.McNamara my sons endured years of torture and abuse by their father
