She is not someone to go to if you are chronically ill or disabled. She will tell you what she suspects is wrong with you but will proceed to tell you “it is too hard to be diagnosed” and will not recommend you to any specialist. When describing my symptoms of illness she will simply tell you to exercise more like running even if you are disabled to the point of using walkers and canes. If you want a diagnosis see someone else.
saw a similar review saying the same thing. dr mahan is narrow minded when it comes to a patient with a complex presentation or history. get ready to leave with an anxiety diagnosis and well wishes. her “diagnosis” caused me to neglect an underlying condition for far too long and did more harm then good, furthering my distrust for the average doctor. my tachy heart rate and high bp was ignored on several occasions because of a previous anxiety diagnosis, and when i saw another doctor and was diagnosed with a serious conditio... read more
Dr. Mahan is kind, thorough, and very intelligent.
She has been a great family doctor. Our 4 year old has been going there since he was born and loves going to see the doctor.
