During my surgery I was awake, and the doctor started talking about the cyst I had, saying that it was very large and bigger than she expected. I found this extremely unprofessional - her words really frightened me. As far as I know, doctors are not supposed to discuss their assumptions like that during the procedure. On top of that, she said: “Say thank you it’s not cancer.” This was especially upsetting for me, because I have multiple cancer diagnoses in my family history, including one fatal case. Dr. Cleland is a great doctor and is very kind. I highly recommend her!
I highly recommend Dr. Cleland - she is the brightest and the best. I recently had emergency surgery for obstructed bowel - she was kind, caring, knowledgeable and compassionate. She explained every step of the process and is an outstanding surgeon. She was very confident and thorough, five stars are not enough for her.
Dr. Cleland was incredibly kind and immediately put me at ease. I had gallbladder problems for 10 years, and she fixed them completely. Before my procedure, she spent time with my family making sure they understood what to expect. Following my surgery, she checked back in, and she even gave me a recipe to make a gallbladder free Thanksgiving dinner doable! I highly recommend her.
