Almost five years ago, Kathleen LaVorgna stayed well past when her shift was going to end to take my emergency surgery case, which was a laproscopic appendectomy when I was 9 weeks pregnant. I recovered without issue or pain, and I was able to keep my pregnancy and deliver my healthy baby girl. I think when we have a Remarkable doctor for decades we can take them for granted. Not only are they exceptionally devoted to their craft they are exceptional people. Dr LaVorgna has worked with me for over 25 years. My mother had breast cancer when I was 6 months old so I was part of a special program where she would check my breasts annually. I first met her when she visited me after I had a terrible motorcycle accident. I had broken my neck, fractured my skull, broken my ribs, and broken my left wrist. She was working with another doctor, Robert L Brady, who was the surgeon responsible for my diagnosis and treatment.
