Dr Burns repaired my shoulder February of 2017. I had surgery to repair my AC joint and a torn labrum. Everything went great a the whole experience was perfect. I am back to 100 percent health good as new and my shoulder has never been better. I would definitely recommend doctor Burns and SSM health to anyone needing surgery.
She has replaced both of my shoulders 2 years apart. One was a reverse shoulder & the other was regular one with rotator cuff repair. She cares about her patients, listens & she is the best you can get.
Initially, I was worried about the procedure. But after speaking with a few random SSM physicians, I was made aware that Dr. Burns is amongst the best in the area for shoulder repair and is sought by patients from all around the U.S. Now that the surgery is complete and I'm in recovery, I'm certain I made the right decision. Coincidentally, I missed a consultation with another ortho surgeon who's waiting list was nearly full and I was in too much pain to wait any longer. What luck. God is good.
As an active 78 yr. old senior male having had previous rotator cuff surgery by a surgeon in Illinois that was unsuccessful due to a re-tear during physical therapy. I was referred to Dr. Burns to seek her analysis and opinion as to my options. After reviewing my records & MRI's Dr. Burns was very friendly & professional in discussing my issues and best alternatives including pre and post surgery criteria & limitations I could expect as a result of recommending a shoulder replacement.
