I received diagnostic mammograms and high speed ultrasounds for years through North Shore. I was told repeatedly there was no cancer. The most recent was Dec 2023. I was told I was fine despite complaining of breast pain. By March I found out through MRI and biopsy had 3 malignant tumors and 2 in situ. Despite having dense breasts and a significant risk history, no one at North Shore followed American Cancer Society Guidelines that women at risk, especially with dense breasts, should get annual MRIs.
