After living in a Katahdin Log Home for 14 years I would say my wife and I definitely made the right decision by going with Katahdin. From start to finish working with Katahdin could not have gone smoother. When it comes to the builder, that's not on Katahdin. There will be a need for a GC or strict supervision.
