Leased then purchased 2 Kia's from Karp. First: I purchased my leased Sorento from Karp. It showed that Karp was to pay off Kia for a set amount. Because it was so close to the due date of my next payment I made the payment and Kia said they would refund it to me after the dealer paid off the car. Great Car I leased my 2019 Optima EX from Jeff . This is my third Optima and the fourth car that I purchased or leased from Karp Auto. I never had to haggle with them. Jeff goes out of his way to make you comfortable. The dealership in general is just great. Now that my lease is over I am going to buy the car as it in great shape and never a bit of trouble.
Brought in car for recall to be done. They wanted to charge $850 for maintenance fee. We declined for the time being. Salesman was very persistent and started to push for financing the amount for the maintenance fee. We still declined. We received car back at the end of the day with a check engine light on. We returned next business day and they said it will be a $199 dollar fee to check the engine light if not a result of recall. Karp Kia- I am warning all perspective car buyers to stay far away from Karp Kia. The customer service is an absolute disgrace and extremely unprofessional. I bought a new 2014 Kia Soul and I had numerous issues and problems. The last straw was when I recently brought my car in to be serviced for a problem where the car would stall in the middle of traffic. If I could leave zero stars I would for this company. We brought our car in on a Monday morning after waiting a week to get an appointment for service. We dropped the car off for a routine service and expected the car to be ready in a day. I called at least three times during the week and was told nothing had been done yet. On Friday I called again and said I needed the car and was picking it up without anything being done. Purchased 2021 Kia Soul January 2021. We were the last customer since the deal went past their closing time. First issue finance person stated our payment included gap insurance and vin etching which we did not ask for but I stated good because I wanted gap insurance and explained to my fiance what it was. I came in for an oil change for the first time at Karp Kia yesterday. I was disappointed that my request for only an oil change was repeatedly rebuffed with offers for extra service that was unnecessary. As a final insult, I was told the oil change would cost $105 instead of the agreed to $90 well after it was completed and it was time to pay. I ended up paying $90.
