My experience with Karitas Counseling genuinely put my mental health in jeopardy. Before my very first session, I prepaid for my appointments two weeks in advance. On the day of my appointment, my card was charged again without my knowledge, consent, or even a courtesy notice—and this charge was made by Viviana, the receptionist, the same person I had spoken with to confirm that my sessions were already prepaid. Only a good few counselors here, anything above that, meaning supervisors or management is horrible. You ask for follow up because it’s a supervisor issue, there is no follow up from a supervisor. Isela Saripella is the supervisor for most counselors and she likes to avoid follow up and explanation to her clients. Moreover, you leave countless of voicemails and send emails, most of her staff simply says they will send a message for her to reach out. No type of communication established or follow up. We have been visiting Karitas Counseling for almost a year now and have found the staff to be attentive and helpful. They provide flexibility between telehealth and in person that easily accommodates a busy family schedule.

Not sure why there are negative reviews. I have been doing tele health appointments for a few months now and they have been immensely helpful. Not only is therapy affordable and accessible, but the therapists are great and inclusive. I recommend Karitas to everyone! Edna Sabio in particular is great!
