Doctor was nice, however, the nurse needs to work on her people skills. This was my husband’s first time seeing this doctor. He almost walked out due to the horrible first impression experience with the staff. But, he was impressed with the doctor.
My new PCP, Dr Susan DeSouza Ferreira Hunt, refused to allow my daughter to accompany me. I'm 82 and don't remember a lot, and we had a lot of issues to cover. Dr DeSouza spent less than 15 minutes with me; predictably, missing a number of important issues that my daughter caught after I came out. We asked what risk Dr. DeSouza believed my daughter posed to my safety, but no one would answer. We asked for the Patient Advocate, but the Med Asst didn't know what that was. I was with Dr De Sousa for 4 months a couple of years ago. She refused to take me off a medication I was on and ended up in the ER twice. ER recommended I find another PCP. I found a real doctor that did not have an inflated ego.
Dr. DeSouza is a very knowledgeable and empathetic. My grandmother was her patient and she was very kind, patient and extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She took the time to review all the details from previous visits to compare with current issues and statuses. Not very common anymore.
