I had my first office visit. She did not even introduce herself. Very cold, short, zero personality. Will never go back. What's happened to doctors!!
I scheduled a visit three months in advance and even confirmed my appointment the day of the visit on the phone. I was exactly ten minutes late due to traffic for my appointment and the Dr. had already left the office. I drove 30 minutes to get there and the office staff was rude and said I had to reschedule. Very upsetting that the Dr left ten minutes into my appointment with no call to check on my status.
Was able to schedule appointment to my schedule. Dr. Blackwell was efficient and thorough and answered my concerns/issues.
Dr. Blackwell is the most knowledgeable, professional, and kind dermatologist whom I’ve ever been treated by: she helped me manage my rosacea better than previous physicians, and both she and her staff were consummate professionals during COVID.
the doctor is very good....no problems with her. It is the office staff that is the problem.....I scheduled an appointment for a rash that was quite painful....telephoned in Feb & they wouldn't see me until the end of April. I telephoned in March to see if they could get me in earlier & the office person said that she could change my appointment to July........HUH??.......so I resigned myself to tough it out until the appointment at the end of April. Dr. Blackwell is a delight to work with. I'm not very happy with physicians in general. However, after about five years of seeing her for a variety of skin cancers three and four times a year, I can't recommend her highly enough. Always kind, always respectful, always a professional. Thank you so much Dr. Blackwell!!
A nurses opinion: First of all this dr saved my friends life who had melanoma and multiple other skin cancers. This Dr. is one of the kindest, wise, professional, individuals I have met. Her bedside manner is that of a very kind, loving individual. Her residents are impressive as well. I waited in waiting room for 5 minutes before I was in a room. Doctors like this raise the bar, because well if you can have one who is the whole package why not!
Dr. Sternhell-Blackwell is an exceptional doctor of dermatology. She treats me as an entire person, and considers my emotional well-being when making adjustments to my treatment plan. She is kind, patient, thorough and empathetic. I look forward to my visits with her instead of feeling dread and embarrassment.
Dr. Sternhell-Blackwell has provided exceptional care for my son's skin condition. She has an amazing bedside manner, made him feel so comfortable in what could have been a very uncomfortable situation. She provided quick, efficient and kind care--couldn't ask for a better dermatologist or any better service!!
