Quoted a Roofing job then they refused to perform the work when we were ready to begin. I called and texted with no reply back at all. Never using this company again.
Kaptein Contracting did an exceptional job with my roof! Bill explained everything very well and did a final walk around inspection! The workers are competent, professional, and hard working! Their pricing is fair, and their roofing solutions provide peace of mind for years to come! I highly recommend Kaptein Contracting!

John Sr had done 2 diff house roofs many years ago, his son John Jr has taken over and is just as great. They have a great team and run like clock work. They are very busy as are the cousins, the Kaptien family businesses are fair and recommended. We have used Marty for siding and his kids are taking over too. We are blessed to have them in this area of NY.
John replaced our roof (a *** system with ridge and soffit vents, and new gutters on Aug. 16, 2021. We had interviewed serval roofer (all have 5-4.7 ratings). We took a leap of faith (competed with big name company) to finally asked him to do the job, not only because he is the most knowledgeable and honest person, but also offered the best price. We had our roof replaced and skylights added this past week. John and his crew worked diligently to complete this job. They showed up on time each day, I never saw them hanging around taking breaks, they worked their tails off! John's estimate was reasonable, although he nor we anticipated some of the unexpected challenges that cropped up. 10/20/17 Highly recommend this company! John and his crew completed a tear off roof replacement in a flawless manner. They were respectful of the property and made every effort to protect it from any damage during the process. All tools and materials were neatly stored and debris cleared daily. Very professional throughout the entire process. The property was left immaculate and the dumpster was removed the day the job was finished.
June 2017 - Recommend without any hesitation. In addition to a new roof, my house also needed siding to be fixed after our windy winter and fascia needed to be replaced. John and his crew did it all – and reasonably I might add. The crew was friendly, professional and neat. A job well done indeed!
